The Ghost in Hangar 13

During the 5 year long Kuiper Belt conflict, the emblematic destroyer "Battlehorse Scylla" fought many battles. Many good people died, including civilian women and children. Years later, before its decomission, the crew firmly believed they saw "ghosts", mainly in hangar deck 13, where refugees once found shelter, and where many civilian families once had lost their loved ones. Decades later, and now an orbital museum, a tourist took this snapshot and leaked it into the media...

A Young Earth

Visit of the Sethnakhte race to Earth when it was still a young planet, some 630 million years ago, towards the end of the Edicaran period. While this is a classical frigate from their vast armada, the expedition was mainly scientific. The picture was indeed taken from a scientific and research vessel, escorted by several of these patrols, as a precautionary measure. The Sethnakhte were amazed by the flourishin biota in these early yet magestic oceans.

Frigate revised and remodelled in Amapi 6, retextured in Bryce 5.5. Scene created in Bryce 5.5.

Napaeae

The emblematic yet now obsolete hero of the 5 year long Kuiper Belt conflict, The Type B Scylla Class Destroyer "BattleHorse Scylla" is photographed while in transit through the outer edge of the belt, in this spectacular vista of the dwarf planet Napaeae (not discovered until the second half of the 21st century) and its tiny moon, Cybele, or "protector in War", named after a mythological greek goddess. Cybele would indeed play a major role in the final chapter of this sensless war.

BattleHorse Scylla

On a clear day, and thanks in part to its thin atmosphere, a distant Jupiter can be seen from the Valles Marineris, planet Mars largest canyon range. Here, the heroic "Battlehorse Scylla" (an old and battered terrestrial Scylla class destroyer) is seen before docking after spending a long season escorting commercial ships in and out the Kuiper Belt, in an ongoing effort to protect precious mineral ore cargo destined to support our war efforts.

Ship modelled in Wings3D, Scene in Bryce 5.5. Ship Textured in Photoshop.
